Multilingual Support
Overview
WP Custom Login supports per-language customization for all text elements on the login page. If your WordPress site has multiple languages installed, the plugin displays separate text fields for each language wherever text is customizable.
How It Works
WordPress supports installing additional language packs. When more than one language is installed on your site, WP Custom Login automatically detects the available languages and adds separate text fields for each one.
Text elements that support per-language customization include:
- Label text — Username, Email, Password, and Username or Email Address labels
- Placeholder text — Placeholder text for each input field
- Remember Me label — The text next to the Remember Me checkbox
- Primary button labels — Log In, Register, Get New Password, Save Password
- Secondary button labels — Generate Password, Change
- Notice text — Password reset instructions, registration notice, and custom notices
- Logo link title — The tooltip text when hovering over the logo
Configuring Per-Language Text
- Navigate to Settings → Custom Login.
- Open any panel that contains text fields (e.g., Login form labels, Login form button (primary), Notices).
- For each text field, you will see a separate input for each installed language (e.g., English, French, German).
- Enter the translated text for each language.
- Click Save all settings to apply.
Installing Additional Languages
To add languages to your WordPress site:
- Navigate to Settings → General in the WordPress admin.
- Under Site Language, note the current language.
- Navigate to Tools → Site Health → Info → Server to see the currently installed translations.
- WordPress automatically downloads language packs for core and compatible plugins when you switch the site language or when a user selects a different language from the login page language switcher.
