WP Custom Login plugin updates released (Free: 3.1.0, PRO: 1.1.0): WordPress 7.0 Compatibility

Today we’re publishing new updates for both the free and PRO versions of WP Custom Login. Upcoming WordPress 7.0 will introduce changes to the default login form styles, and this release ensures WP Custom Login handles them properly – so your customized login page will continue to look exactly as intended when WordPress 7.0 arrives.

Shared Updates (Free 3.1.0 & PRO 1.1.0)

  • Confirmed compatibility with WordPress 7.0: WordPress 7.0 changes the default login form styles. The plugin has been updated to handle these changes, ensuring your customized login page continues to work flawlessly after the core update.
  • Updated dependencies: Internal libraries and build tools have been refreshed.
  • General code improvements: Minor cleanups and refactoring to keep the codebase stable and maintainable.

Free-Only Updates (3.1.0)

  • WordPress logo color choice: You can now choose between a blue and gray WordPress logo on your login page, giving you more control over how the branding elements look.
  • Fixed checkbox field styles: Added missing styles to the checkbox field so it renders consistently with the rest of the login form.
  • Fixed password field font family: Resolved an issue where the password field could display in an incorrect font.
  • Removed bundled translation files: Translation files are now loaded directly from WordPress.org, reducing the plugin’s footprint.

PRO-Only Updates (1.1.0)

  • Security hardening: Added a missing nonce check to the image endpoint, strengthening the plugin’s security posture.

You can download the latest versions of the WP Custom Login plugin directly from WordPress.org (Free version) or the Customer Portal (PRO version).
